douglas bull is not a person. It’s a rock band. We play music that is older than ourselves, mostly. We also play our own stuff. we perform live across the lowlands. we make people dance, sometimes. come hear us or have us play at your gig.

we have a variable geometry. We were a power trio, then an even more powerful fourpiece, now back to the former. Coen hutters sings, plays guitar and entertains the audience. Marcin Dąbrowski sits behind the drums. Stephen hungs delivers his steady pulse on bass. WE have a thing for rotating italian guitarists, too: MArco Gatto used to play guitar with us, followed by Andrea raso. We operate in the area between amsterdam, rotterdam, utrecht, and delft. we’ve been rehearsing in the latter, for ages.

currently on our setlist: The clash, bowie, johnny Cash, the minutemen, the cure, led zep, blondie, black crowes, dick dale, link wray and other shit that will beam your soul straight to 1978 or 1962. to this mix We throw in some of our own songs that blend those influences and drown them in reverb to fine effect.

  • gig at de paap, den haag

We played another show at de Paap in Den Haag. 2.5 hours or so. The setlist was packed with bangers such as ‘Rebel, rebel’, ‘London Calling’, ‘Black Dog’, ‘White Wedding’, ‘Personal Jesus’ and even an odd Abba classic. People danced. It was fun. Marco had a lovely guerrilla beret.
